[Review] Gram Double Chemi Ban Ban Pack First Impressions!

Monday, February 29, 2016

Hi everyone! So I get a lot of requests to do reviews on products that are designed for different skin types. While that's a bit difficult, since everyone is different, I do my best to help everyone out and show products that address a wide range of concerns. Today, I'll be reviewing the Gram Double Chemi Ban Ban Pack, which is designed for combination skin.

Let's get to the breakdown...

Packaging....
The packaging of this product is a tub with two sections inside. It separates the two different masks inside.
Formulas...
The green side is the detoxifying/purifying side. It sucks out all the impurities from the skin and helps level out sebum production. The main ingredients that help with this are bentonite, green tea, lemon balm leaf, applemint leaf extract, tea tree and broccoli. On the other side, you'll see an orange mask. This is made for drier parts of the face. The ingredients in this that make it effective are sweet almond oil, shea butter, papaya, buckthorn, rose hip and vanilla bean.

Directions...
The green mask is meant for the t-zone since that is wear most people have an excess of oil production. The orange mask is meant for the u-zone, which tends to be more dry. Of course, you can apply these where ever your face is dry/oily. After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes (I usually wash the mask off before it dries completely) wash it off.

Results...
I did enjoy the 2-in-1 aspect. You can see in the close up pictures of my nose below that there is definitely less sebum on my nose. As for the moisturizing mask, I think it was nice but I've definitely used better moisturizing masks.
Overall...
I think this is such a great multi-tasker! It's great for combination skin or if you skin tends to change during the different seasons (I'm pretty sure everyone's does!). I liked how it removed my excess sebum, but like I mentioned above, I have used more moisturizing masks. Overall, I think this is a nice mask to use if you don't feel like using multiple masks or if you want something that will address your skin's needs fairly well.

[Review] Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Today I'll be reviewing the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask! I received this product from Memebox, which is an awesome website where you can buy Korean beauty products. I mentioned it in this post, where I also hauled this product along with several other goodies from Memebox! I also did a first impressions on this product (which is at the end of this post!) , so don't forget to check out that video and subscribe to my channel, The Beauty Breakdown

So let's get to the breakdown...

Packaging
This product comes nicely packaged in a plastic tub and also comes with a handy spatula. It also comes with a plastic lid inside to protect the mask from being exposed to the air. I'll explain this later, but don't throw this away! You need to keep it on there while you have the product!

Directions
How this product works is you use the little spatula is comes with to smooth the product onto your skin. You then leave it on for 5 minutes while it works its magic and then wash it off!
Benefits
This product is supposed to "deep-clean" your pores. Since it's carbonated and bubbly, it works itself deep into your skin to clean out impurities like excess sebum, dirt, oil and makeup! It's meant to work well on blackheads. This is supposed to be gentle on your skin and used weekly!

Texture
Omg, this product is so weird! It's a jelly-like texture and is an almost gross grey color! Ah, I was kind of scared to put this on my face!

Process
When you initially apply this to your skin, work quick! You want to just get a glob from the tub with the spatula and quickly replace the plastic lid inside. This is because this product activates with oxygen exposure! So you want to be careful not to expose your entire tub or it will be ruined :(

Anyways, I used the spatula to smooth it onto my skin. It almost immediately starts bubbling! As you can see from the first picture, after one minute, the bubbles are already activating! You can actually hear the bubbles as the grow and one thing I was not expecting was the tickling/itchy sensation! This is not a bad thing because it's really from the bubbles. They move very slightly because they are growing and activating, and since it's so subtle, you can feel it! I found this very ticklish (as you can see in the video) but don't worry, it only last for about a minute!
After 3 minutes, you can see there are more bubbles! I was having a lot of fun with this mask clearly! haha.
Finally, this is what it looked like after 5 minutes. There are lots of bubbles! One tip though if you decide to get this product is be careful not to put it to close to your eyes/hair/nose/etc. because it does expand! You don't want any bubbles in your eyes do you? haha.
Next, if you want to make the mask more effective, once the bubbles have all expanding, massage the mask into your skin! This was a fun process for me because you get to pop all the bubbles and massage your skin. The mask is nice and smooth so this feels really nice!

Once it's all popped and massaged in, it just looks like your typical clay mask!
And you reveal...dun dun dun!

Results
Amazing skin! My skin felt so clean and smooth after using this mask! It didn't feel overly tight or dry but it just felt so nice and smooth! OMG I'm in love.
I couldn't even believe how nice this made my skin! I couldn't stop touching my face.

 Overall
I'm in love with this mask. It's fun to use and even better, it makes my skin look and feel SO nice! In LOVE :)

[Review] Secret Key's Snow White Milky Pack Premium

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

I was really intrigued by this product because it's a super famous product in the Korean Skincare world. It's from Secret Key and it's their Snow White Milky Pack The Premium. I did a video review of this a little bit ago, but I thought I'd also make a post on it for those of you who prefer to read reviews!

Let's get to the product breakdown...

Packaging...
This is just a simple squeeze tube. On the front of the tube, it gives a brief description of what the product is supposed to do!

Directions...
This is a pretty simple process! You just apply a decent layer to your skin and then let it sit on your skin for about 2-3 minutes. After that, you just wash it off your skin.

Application...
This product goes on very smoothly. It is a little on the thick side just so it's easier to apply a nice layer on. You do need to wash it off with warm water because the warmth helps remove it from your skin. It does leave a "layer" behind, which some people have complained about. Some people don't like this because they feel like it's heavy. However, for me, it didn't feel to sticky. I actually didn't feel it on my skin after I washed it off.

Results...
You'll have to ignore the expressions in the pictures below. I took screen shots from my video. haha. But as you can see, this is a slight brightening effect! It makes my skin look luminous and bright. It's nothing too dramatic, but it just makes my skin look healthy. This effect does wear off through out the day however.

[Review] Holika Holika Golden Monkey Glamour Lip 3 Step Kit

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Holika Holika has come out with a predecessor for its very famous Pig Nose Clear Blackhead 3 Step Kit. It's called the Golden Monkey Glamour Lip 3 Step Kit and instead of removing your nasty little blackheads, this kit is designed to exfoliate, plump and moisturize your lips! Of course I had to try this since my lips are notoriously dry. (I'll be releasing the video review of this product soon and I'll put it in this post!)

By the way, if you're wondering why Holika Holika themed this kit after monkeys, I believe the Golden Monkey is known for its pink and noticeable lips. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's move on!

The packaging is super cute! Look at this thing, I don't even want to open it! haha. But I must for the sake of the review.

Here's a close up of the packaging. You can see the ingredients, directions, and description.

Here's an initial 'before' of my lips. As you can see, they're fairly dry and a little chapped.

So step one of the packet is to remove all the dead skin and clean your lips with this pad. As you can see, there's no texture to it, so it's not really good for exfoliating. It doesn't really have a smell and FYI, just in case you get in your mouth, it doesn't taste terrible. haha.

This is what my lips looked like after step one. As you can see, they're a little bit smoother.

Step 2 of the packet is to take this lip gel patch and place is on your clean lips for 15 minutes. It's nice because it stays in place and doesn't slide all over the place. You can wear this while you do other things!

I look crazy with this thing on!

So I forgot to take a picture after step 2 but you can see the results immediately after step 2 in the video (once it's posted!). Step 3 is a honey-based balm that you put on your lips. As you can see in the picture below, the balm is nice and glossy. Plus, it's not sticky at all and it's very comfortable to wear! I loved this last part because it made my lips feel really nice and it's really shiny! Also, there's enough in the packet to save a use a couple more times!

So what do you guys think?! Can you see a difference? Do my lips look better? Hope you guys enjoyed this review!

xoxo, Morgan

[Review] Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Sleeping Pack Mask

Monday, January 19, 2015

If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm obsessed with sleeping packs! I love sleeping packs because I love the idea of going to bed and then waking up beautiful! haha. So when I saw Tony Moly had come out with their new Banana Sleeping Pack, I had to buy it and try it out! I bought this item from www.beautynetkorea.com, which is a website I love!

Let's get to the breakdown...

Packaging....
Seriously, how can you not love this packaging?! It's adorable!! My only issue it that it obviously doesn't stand up on it's own. Also, I'm probably going to have a hard time getting all the product out of it when I get towards the end since it's a squeeze tube.

The bottle itself it fairly squishy, so you just squeeze the product out of the top!

Benefits...
This sleeping pack contains chamomile and banana extracts, which are supposed to make your skin radiant and nourished. It's supposed to contain 10,000 ppm of banana extracts (I tried to look up what that meant, but I couldn't find anything. If you know what it means, let me know!)

What is a sleeping pack...
A sleeping pack is just a mask you apply at night. Like any sleeping pack, you're supposed to wash your face and apply your normal skincare. Then, apply this, go to sleep and wash it off in the morning to reveal soft and supple skin!

Consistency...
This sleeping pack is actually pretty thick! It's a heavy cream when applied to the skin. It's definitely not the lightest sleeping pack, so if you have oily skin, I probably wouldn't recommend this. It also feels a little sticky, even after it dries :/ It's really not terrible, but I could definitely feel it on my skin as I slept. It's slightly uncomfortable, but if you're used to sleeping with masks or heavy creams, then you probably won't mind. If you're really sensitive to that, I might pass on this if I were you.

Scent...
I had to add this in this review that this stuff smells EXACTLY like Banana Laffy Taffy. The smell dissipates after it sits on your skin for a while, and you really only smell it when you first apply it!

 Results...
I had mixed feelings about this sleeping pack. I liked how soft and moisturized my skin felt, but I was looking forward to washing it off in the morning because I don't care for the feeling of heavy creams. As soon as I washed it off though, my skin looked PLUMP. It looked like it had sucked up all the nutrients and moisture and my skin looked really nice. Keep in mind, I have dry skin though, so my skin does well with heavier products. To break it down, if you have oily, acne-prone skin, or don't like the feeling of heavy creams, I would pass on this. If you have dry skin and don't mind the feeling, give this a try!

In the picture below, I rubbed the product into my skin. You can see the gloss from the product and that it creates a nice layer on the skin.
