I'm always on the hunt for interesting and fun products (let me know if you find any ok? :D ) so when I saw this RIRE Lip Powder, I knew I had to get it and test it out. Check out my video review below to see what I thought about it!
Let's get to the breakdown...
So, in typical fashion, here are the close-up pics and my written review of the product.

Packaging...
The packaging is... ok. Honestly, to me, it looks a little cheap. Plus, I don't find it that functional. As you can see in the demo that I did in the video, the handle actually makes applying the product more difficult. It doesn't allow for an accurate application and since the handle is tapered, I could see this slipping out of my fingers, dropping it, and making a mess.
Consistency
This had the COOLEST consistency. Like the name implies, it does start off as a powder. However, magically, it turns into a liquid lipstick consistency when you apply it or rub it. I love it and it actually feels fairly moisturizing on my lips considering this started off as a powder.
Application
This applies really smoothly. I love how it glides onto my lips, which are usually very dry. Like I mentioned above, I'm not a fan of the packaging, but overall, the actual product was nice to apply. Plus, I really liked the color!
Overall
I didn't test this to see how long it would last, however, it did pretty much seem like a liquid lipstick stain. It does stain a little bit but you can also wipe it off for the most part. Hopefully, that makes sense. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this first impressions and let me know of any other cool products you've tried!!
Here's part 2 of the haul/review I'm doing of the XO Memebox line! Be sure to check out my review of the I'm eyeshadows as well :) Let's go ahead and move on to some of the lip products from Memebox. You might be aware that they had an I'm Lipstick line that was packaged differently. These new lipsticks are supposed to be more opaque and have a better formula. Although I've never tried the original ones, let's go ahead and discuss these new versions. Overall, I like the formula of these because they're nice and smooth. They're pretty hydrating, which works well on my ultra dry lips, and they're very pigmented so they don't apply blotchy. Also, keep in mind, none of my shades have shimmer or frost in them. They're all pretty balmy and they don't crease. Let's get to the breakdown...
I'm Lipstick #BC012 Notting Hill
This is a great peach-based nude. It reminds me so much of my Etude House Color in Liquid Lips in BE101. This applies nice and smooth and unlike some nudes, looks nice and moisturizing. It doesn't get the gross cracked look nude-ish lips tend to get. I'd definitely say this is a great "nude" for those of you with darker skin tones because it doesn't wash you out!
I'm Lipstick in #MT007
This is easily my fave out of the bunch I have! I've actually almost used up half the tube and I've only had these for a month or so! This is a great mauve that doesn't look overly purple. I'd say this is the ultimate "my lips but better" type of color!
I'm Lipstick in #BC004
This is a pretty average pink color, although it's a bit more neon than I was expecting. Obviously, to me, this isn't a bad thing because I love me a nice pop of color every once and while :) Has a nice glossy finish, which provides a comfortable wear!
I'm Lipstick in #BC002 Ultra Violet
When I saw the swatch of this on the website, I HAD to get it. Look how great of a color this is! Obviously, this is not for the faint at heart. It's a "WHAM in your face" kind of color and comes off just like it looks in the tube! I love that they had more alternative colors that you don't see from every brand.
Overall, these lipsticks are great! I mean, at $16 a piece, I'd hope they'd be! Since they're rivaling prices like MAC, I'd say they're really nice but kind of steep. I do love the packaging, however, and I think it looks super classy.
It's here, it's here! I was so delighted when I came home after a long week at work and found this on my doorstep. It's the Etude House Dreaming Swan Collection! When I initially saw the promo pictures for this collection, I was so excited! I'd pretty much missed the boat on other major Etude House Collections (The Minnie Mouse Collection, Etoinette Collection, etc) and could never get my hands on the items I wanted. But this time, I pretty much got the ENTIRE collection. It may seem excessive, but hey, I work HARD for my money and like to enjoy it. Plus, I know you guys were probably as antsy as I was. Anyways, I made a video review on my channel, The Beauty Breakdown, so definitely check that out and see if you like any of the products! But here's the blog post, so you can get a closer view of all the products :)
Now on to the items :) Here are the lippies! I unfortunately, could not get one of them because they were sold on the Etude House website, but I got the other four! Also note that these lipsticks are ALL MATTE. I was not expecting this when I ordered, but they are matte. So for those of you who don't like matte lip products, sorry :( But luckily, they're still very creamy and apply very nicely. Also, they're very pigmented, which in my opinion, is always a good thing!
My Blooming Lip-Talk in PK022 in Jete Pink.
My Blooming Lips-Talk in OR225 in Pointe Coral
My Blooming Lip-Talk in PK024 in En Haut Pink
My Blooming Lips-Talk in PP502 Releve Purple MY FAVE!
Next, let's look at the Eye and Cheek Colors. Personally, I consider these mainly blushes (even though you can use them on your eyes) because they're not colors I'd usually use on my eyes. Also, they're not the darkest colors ever. They offer more of a nice wash of color instead of a super pigmented color. They're all shimmery and super smooth. They blend really nicely on the skin as well :) They also come with a super cute puff! I do want to mention the the pictures on the tin are not printed on, they're stickers :/ I don't like that because stickers tend to get a little ratty looking after you use it for a while. oh well...
Eye and Cheek in #01 Jete Pink. This one is fairly light and would probably only show up on lighter skin tones. For tan skin tones, this would be more of a highlight color.
Eye and Cheek in #02 Pointe Coral. This is a nicely peachy color, but again it's more of a highlight color on darker skin tones. On light skin tones, this would probably show up nicely.
Eye and Cheek in #03 Arabesque Rosy. This is one of the more pigmented ones. This shows up as a nice burnt coral/rose color.
Eye and Cheek in #04 Releve Purple. This is a light lavender color and again will probably show up on light skin tones, but not dark ones.
Eye and Cheek in #05 En Haut Pink. This one is the most universally appealing color. It's similar to NARS Orgasm Blush, because it's a nice peachy/pink with a gold undertone. This one is more pigmented.
For this collection, Etude House re-released their veiling pact. I'm pretty sure you can get this at anytime, but they repackaged it for the Dreaming Swan collection. I have never tried their veiling pact, so I wanted to get it to try it :) I haven't used this yet, but I can tell you, it obviously won't work on darker skin tones. Sorry guys, I feel your pain! It's almost a little too light for me, but I can make it work with some bronzer. Love the packaging though :) The picture is actually printed on the compact, so you don't have to worry about it pealing off like the blushes!
It comes with a little puff and also has the Dreaming Swan logo imprinted in the powder!
Next, are the Dreaming Swan Shine Volumer. These are meant for use on both the face and the eyes. However, I would NOT recommend using these on the face. They are so glittery and shimmery, they'd really only be pretty on the eyes. I haven't tried these out a ton yet, but I'm excited to see how they look!
Shiner Volumer in #01 Dreaming Swan. A nice pearly, white color. Has some pink glitter to it.
Shine Volumer in #02 Bright Toeshoes. A beige shimmer. Has some gold glitter in it.
Shine Volumer in #03 Shiny Tutu. The perfect rose gold. A nice combination of the two colors.
Here's a swatch of the colors. Going from top to bottom, it's #01, #02 and #03.
Finally, the nail polish kits! I was close to passing on these, but I honestly love colors like these. I'm a big fan a neutral nail colors because I think it looks so pretty and girly. So I got both kits because I figured I would get use out of them. They both come with sticker decals, but I didn't take pictures of them. I showed them in the video, so if you're curious about those, watch the video ;)
Dreaming Swan Nail Kit in #01 Dreaming Swan. This has a light pink color and a gold shimmery color.
Dreaming Swan Nail Kit in #02 Shiny Tutu. My favorite out of the two I think! It has a creamy, vanilla color and a shimmery beige color.
And that's it! I did get the little bag, since I bought the value kit (which included the bag, lipstick and blush in pointe coral). I got it because it was cheaper than buying it separately and I showed the bag in the video! I didn't get the brush or the cushion compact case because I didn't need a little brush like that and I don't have the Etude House Cushion Foundation.. maybe one day :) Anyways, I hope this was helpful, so you could see what the products actually look like. For me, I know this is important because I have to order online, and sometimes the colors they show are not very accurate. Let me know if you love the collection as much as I do and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and share this post!
Happy April everyone! I posted the video for this last week, but haven't had the chance until now to actually make a post on it for those of you who prefer to read their reviews :) I was excited to try this Berrisom Lip Tint Pack in Chic Purple because it seemed so unique!
So let's get to the breakdown...
Application...
I can't remember the last time I used a squeeze tube lip product! Honestly! For me, I usually use an applicator so it was interesting trying to use the squeeze tube. However, because the formula is a bit thicker it was hard for me to be accurate with the application. I guess some people use brushes for this product? Seems like a lot of work...
Right after application.. don't know if you can see how thick it is!
Formula...
Boy, this stuff is thick. And tacky too! I assume it has to be though in order for it to peel off properly. I also wanted to mention that this formula does have a weird smell... not sure if I like that either... It did peel off nicely though. It did not pull off any skin and hurt at all.. I was a little afraid of that!
Results...
Right after I peeled it off, I could definitely see that my lips had a nice stain. The color is pretty too! But there were tinyyy little pieces of the mask left on my lips. I actually didn't notice it right away... I noticed it when I went back and looked at the pictures and footage! It also does smudge, smear, or rub off on anything.. Nice!
Right after I peeled it off.
Longevity...
Whoa, my lips look dry. This is about 7-8 hours later without reapplying anything to my lips. You can see that I clearly need chapstick. I ate and drank with this on, and you can see there is a little bit of the color left. However, I probably wouldn't have noticed the color if I wasn't looking for it....
Overall...
I really wanted to like this, I really did. But I have super dry lips, so I need something on them pretty much at all times to keep them from looking gross. The color was very pretty right after, however the color didn't last the whole 12 hours like promised :( I like the overall idea of this, but wish it last longer, was more moisturizing, and didn't have an awful smell!
This pretty little lippie definitely deserves a proper review! I featured this Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips Lipstick in both my November Favorites and Best in Beauty for 2014 so I decided to go ahead and review it for those of you who prefer to read versus watch!
So let's look at the breakdown...
Packaging...
This packaging is to die for! I love the cutes-y packaging especially because it's big girl makeup in princess packaging!
Formula...
The formula of this lipstick is nice and smooothhhh. I love how it glides on my lips and isn't drying at all. It actually feels like a combination of a lipstick and a lip balm so it's very comfortable to wear.
Lasting-Ability....
This really isn't the longest lasting lipstick, but it also doesn't fade right away. It lasts a couple hours, and then you need to reapply it. Honestly, reapplying lipstick is not something that I really mind, so for me, I don't really dock points for that. What I do dock points for is when a lip product fades away terribly (ex. leaving lips dry, leaving specks of glitter, clinging to dry areas, etc.). Fortunately, this wears off similar to a lip balm, so it's easy to just whip it out, reapply, and go on with your day!
Color...
This really is one of my favorite pink lipsticks. For some reason, I feel like I have a hard time pulling off pink shades. I don't know if it's because of my skin tone, but pink shades on my never look quite right. However, this shade (PPK004) is one of those colors that a "my lips but better" shade. It looks good with any makeup combination, or no makeup at all!
Andddd this is what it looks like on me! BTW, want to know what is making my skin look soooo nice and photoshopped (I swear I didn't retouch this photo!)? Read my review of my new HOLY GRAIL product! Trust me, you'll be happy you did!
